Excellent-wonderful resourceThis was an excellent book & I found it a valuable resource tool. She has detailed her banner & dance ministry....there are several full color pages of banners & dance outfits. She also has some wonderful suggestions for keeping your ministry on the right track. I loved this book & would reccomend it highly to those who have a dance ministry or are looking to start one.

Charlotte, spirit of the new South
Published in Unknown Binding by Continental Heritage Press ()

A Great Introduction To CharlotteThis book by Mary Norton Kratt is a coffee table book with a great deal of historical content. The pictures show much of Charlotte's rich history and the well thought out text wonderfully underscores it. As with Kratt's other books this one is one that you will definately go through more than once. It is the perfect book for those who want to learn more about this jewel of a Southern City.

Children's Literature in the Elementary School
Published in Hardcover by McGraw Hill College Div (August, 2000)
Average review score:

Children's Literature book personal reviewI was required to purchase this book for a college course. I am very thankful that my instructer choose this book. It is full of wonderful examples of appropriate literature for children. I sat down one evening and read two chapters for the sheer joy of it. The only thing that I was unhappy with was that there was a lack of children's activities in regards to the poetry section. All and all, this is a exceptional book for anyone interested in children's literature.

CliffsNotes Jane Eyre
Published in Paperback by Cliffs Notes (June, 2000)
Average review score:

Almost the bestI think that Jane Eyre was almost the best book. The only problem was the ending. All her life Jane has gotten the short end of the stick. Why for once can't this go her way? Why can't she have a normal husband? Why can't she have a break for once?

Collie (Learning About Dogs Series)
Published in School & Library Binding by Children's Book Press (January, 1999)
Average review score:

The Collie reviewI read The Collie. I thought it was a good book. I thought it was a good book because I love any kind of dogs and I used to have a collie and it was cool to find out what they do and how they eat and survive with all their talents. I think others would read it if they are interested in animals that can do many different things. I think it would be good for kids whose ages are 8 and up especially if you have a collie and you don't know how to take care of them. If someone asked me if they should read it I would say if they like reading about dogs.

Cook Up a Crime
Published in Paperback by Rue Morgue (March, 1998)
Average review score:

Recipe for FunJane Amanda Edwards is a meddling, irritating, yet somehow very endearing spinster. Through her friend, Detective Captain George Hammond, she hits on the idea of publishing a town cookbook. She is determined to bully, coerce or flat out steal the recipes she wants. Through her total lack of social skills, she becomes involved in a murder-which to her is merely an inconvenience to her cookbook. This domestic cozy is humorous and engaging. Also contains recipes!

Courting Cupid (Harlequin Love & Laughter, No 61)
Published in Paperback by Harlequin (February, 1999)
Average review score:

CUPIDS?Eloise Periwinkle is not having much luck as an angel. She has failed one too many assignments and has just one last chance to prove her competency; she needs to unite Blake Donovan with Margaret Wykoski, two very driven business people. The problem is that the other cupids want her to fail because if she is able to do her job "he big guy upstairs" might realize how easy their job is and downsize the department, so they give her an impossible assignment. Blake and Margaret absolutely hate each other. So Eloise goes down to earth and...you guessed it she falls in love with Blake. Eloise herself saves this rather sad and lacking plot by being very funny and heart warming in a naive way. Blake is a very inconsistent character and Margaret is unrealistically obsessed. Over all I liked the book but it wasn't anything to shout about.

Decorative Art 1960's
Published in Paperback by TASCHEN America Llc (April, 2000)
Average review score:

A must have for anyone collecting the genre. This book offers a glimpse into the design world of the 1960s like no other. Many vintage photos showing furniture in authentic room settings. Each section, Glass, Ceramics, Lighting, Textiles and Furniture, show the reader objects that are rarely seen anywhere else.
On the negative side, there is little detailed text on the specific objects beyond each photo's caption. The fact that many of the photographs are vintage allows for many grainy images.
That said, what this book is lacking as a text based reference guide, it more than makes up for in the shear volume of decorative items pictured.
